Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities was registered last week by Cody Jordison, a member of their board of directors.

The group representing rural municipalities in Saskatchewan is lobbying Ottawa on firearms legislation, additional funding for infrastructure and improved recruitment and retention of healthcare workers, among other asks.
Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities was registered last week by Cody Jordison, a member of their board of directors. According to the lengthy registration, SARM is looking to participate in consultations on reducing violent crime and on Canada’s gun laws, wants to hold discussions with officials about bridge and road funding and is requesting funding to improve broadband internet access in rural Saskatchewan, as well as other
SARM’s broadband action committee says it’s hoping to achieve broadband infrastructure parity by 2024, and exceed the CRTC standard by 2027, for all Saskatchewan residents, regardless of location.
